I got traffic though social media and Google in the start google analytic shows 70% traffic direct. But after 3 months of seo work i got 59% traffic from search engine (google) and my website received 4PR on the previous Google Update.

I depends on your niche market. If your site deals with hot topics you may get from social media.
If your site is not that interesting like food related products (just for an example) your will get more traffic from the search engines that to google. Yahoo and bing has a very little market compared to google. So google is the leading traffic generator.

I am getting 55% from search engine like on number one Google/ Organic and Bing/ organic yahoo/ organic, aol/ organic, ask/ organic 33% from referral traffic like twitter/ referral, facebook/ referral and only 12% traffic from direct....
