Link building must consist of unique articles and relevant keywords to be submitted to social bookmarking sites and web directories out there,or you can also try submit blogs ,forum posting or commenting .This are ways where you can insert your links that may somehow bring more traffic to your site .Also don't forget Search Engine Submission.

With link building you declare you new website (shop metaphor) so you connect yourself to other websites and start to create a road map from various websites people can get to you and learn more about your services.

If you website has a great value more and more people will create roads to you, backlinks and as long you got many backlinks your ranking will grow high in the search engines since they take that as a large weight if many websites link back to you it means that you prob' have a valuable service.
