I'm trying to find a hosting company that is good. I've tried iPower, but cancelled them because they only allow 5 emails every 10 seconds sent from a site. Not good for emailing newsletters from the site.

I then tried IXWebhosting, but have several problems with them:
- MySQL databased server goes down frequently.
- Complete loss to webserver 6 times over 45 minutes in the past 8 months.

All I want is a *nix box with:
mysql
Imagemagic for graphics
100 emails per 10 seconds
good price.

I was now looking at Serverspaceinc but can't find any info on them.

Anyone recommend something?

Hi,

The problem is you place a very large strain on a host when you send out 100 emails every 10 seconds, that’s almost 6000 e-mails in 1 minute. What you should consider doing is locating a hosting provider for its hosting aspects and then look for a dedicated newsletter management company to handle the newsletters separately thus reducing the load on the hosting company.

Maybe consider a company such as the following: http://bronto.com/ for your newsletter management.

Best of luck.

If you are looking for a great email marketing provider, you may want to check out Listrak (http://www.listrak.com). Good luck with your search!

Hi.

If your usage is too heavy, why not go with a dedicated server? You get the freedom to decide how many emails you wish to send out, and lots of more options. Theplanet (theplanet.com) has some good options - even a gaming server if you need one.

Good luck - its not easy to find something that sends out 10 emails a second - but good luck anyways.

Chaitanya

Become your own host! It's more simple than most think and you will have control of everything.
