.info or subdomain?

What would be more effective for a small set of sites I plan to create?

I could buy/register a nice .com and create my sites via subdomain or would it be better to register .info domains?

When you have a good .com domain name then why should you create your site via a subdomain. Create your site with the .com domain name you buy.
