Security is the most important issue when you are going to star a e-commerce website. You can fine more info about e-commerce website here http://blog.host.co.in/ecommerce-web-hosting-india

My recommendation is always to list out features that you're going to need (in an Excel spreadsheet for example) and compare solutions to see how they stack up to your requirements. You'll need to determine if you want it hosted or if you'll host it yourself, any technology preference (.NET, PHP, Java, etc) you have, as well as how it can handle the products you'll be carrying. Many of the eCommerce solutions out there (including BV) allow you to setup a demo store so you can really get a feel for the application - this is highly recommended.

There are many important aspects which you should look for while looking for a E-commerce host.

1)Secured and Managed servers.
2)High Uptime and Good Connectivity.
3)Auto-installers like Fantastico or Softaculous via which you can install various E-commerce applications within a few clicks.
4)Wide Range of SSL certificates to choose from.

There are multiple E-commerce applications like OS-commerce, Zen Cart, Cube Cart, Magento, PrestaShop, OpenCart which are widely used to built online E-commerce shops.
