March 11th, 2012 - VPS6.NET, LP has announced the immediate availability of hosting services in its fourth, and newest, datacenter in Los Angeles, California, USA.

VPS6.NET has chosen the carrier-neutral data facility at 530 W. 6th St. in downtown Los Angeles to host OpenVZ and Xen virtualization platforms. Both platforms utilize high-performance HP ProLiant DL380 servers built with dual Intel Xeon X5460 CPUs and Western Digital 10k SAS disks.

With the addition of a West Coast network, VPS6.NET hopes to provide premium USA-based connectivity to users in the Asia/Pacific region. The LA-based network will utilize a custom bandwidth mix composed of 10Gbit uplinks to multiple peering networks, including nLayer, XO Communications, AboveNet, Hurricane Electric, and AT&T.

The Los Angeles location is the fourth to be offered since the company's launch in 2011, following Chicago, Frankfurt, and Istanbul.
