I am currently looking for a dedicated server to be used as a game server. I am mainly looking for an affordable provider (+-$100/mo), but powerful enough to be used as a game server. The dedicated server needs to be able to run linux(CentOS or debian) with root access. I am also looking for Southeast location for the server and preferably located in Atlanta, GA. To run a game server you need a high end dedicated server for better performance. $100 will not help you to find a stable dedicated server so instead of searching a $100 dedicated server I think you should wait for some time and later invest once for a high end dedicated server which would help you in long term growth.

I think your kind of cutting yourself short of a game server by limiting yourself to $100. What type of game are you planning on running on this server, what sort of tick rate were you expecting, what FPS, how heavily will it be used. These are all things that need to be answered before anyone can give you a very good quote/estimate on a Server.
