Well as appealing as it seems to be to simply plug my own company, I am going to expand upon the advice of others and suggest that you get a server with a good size hard drive, and perhaps even a SCSI configuration, with lots of ram. And also a dual core or quad core processor. Your biggest expenditure overall is going to be the price of your bandwidth. Most providers will try to immediately try to push you into a Unmetered bandwidth plan, but unless you are just expecting massive amounts of traffic in your first month I wouldnt worry about it since you can always upgrade later on. You will want to go with about 2000-3000 gigs of bandwidth for your first month and keep an eye on it to make sure you dont go over, then as your needs rise gradually stagger upwards into a dedicated package.
