I intend to have a semi-dedicated server as I don't need a dedi and shared web hosting isn't enough for me. Webhostingbuzz.com is considered for this purpose. They also provide a free domain name for life. I wonder who will have rights on this domain?

I just want to let you know. Semi dedicated is huge shared account. If you are looking for something as huge but with root access I would recommend yo0u have a look at VPS server.

Bobby, that's the question to address your host, you can also read about that in their TOS. Do you need root access to your web site? It's not usually given on semi-dedicated plans, maybe you need VPS? Anyway a2hosting.com and jaguarpc.com provide both semi-dedicated plans and VPS.
It's essential to ask your host about the number of semi-dedicated accounts on the server, good luck!

Problem with semi dedicated is, mostly all the users on it will be heavy users - otherwise they would have selected only a shared - and there is no way to assure you minimum guaranteed resources. A VPs would be better in most cases.

But both companies mention the limit of 15 users on the server. Does it mean it gives some additional stability?

If you are looking for a VPS, HostV.com (http://hostv.com/virtual.shtml) privides nice offers with double RAM and discounts (50PROMO) on their web site. Guess they deserve your attantion.

I second A2hosting.com services. This company provides them a lot and of different kinds. They also offer a coupon code on their services: 20PERCENTOFF - a 20% discount.

That coupon code from A2hosting.com is valid for all their services, isn't it?
I see that they provide them a lot (shared, semi-dedis, dedis, VPSs, etc.) that's why I ask.

Btw, there's no semi-dedicated deals among Webhostingbuzz.com plans now.

Yep, I'm hosted with Webhostingbuzz.com and they have recently cancelled their semi-dedicated plans, I guess this type of plans are really on the verge of extinction, as well as reseller plans, as VPS are getting more and more popular.

We have seen a BIG decrease in demand for semi-dedicated accounts, mainly because VPS accounts are more affordable than ever. We have stopped offering semi-dedicated accounts ourselves because of this.
