Hi,

Its depend on in what you will use this server, but in general, I recommend this providers: (in no order)

http://www.interserver.net
http://www.liquidweb.com
http://www.voxrox.com

I have one comment in ev1servers .. they will disconnect your server if they got spam complaint, this can be done by a single user in the server and WILL happend at least once a year. so if you want to use the server to resell web hosting then ev1servers is not the best choise.

there are also servermatrix.com, but I have great doubt that they did NOT use top quality hardware, but my experiance is 1 or 2 years old so may this changed now.

I have 15 minute servers to Ive had them for 3 months now.

Well they had been great untill now.

I had been using ips that came with the account
for dns and my clients accounts. They say in the
welcome letter that as long as you keep your
account those loopback ips will always be yours.

Well it came to the point I needed more ips.
I went to the server upgrade part and added
16 new ips at the click of a button.

Then everything stopped working, well all my
original ips were gone 100s of clients down
my site down no email no dns nothing!!!

I contacted them about this issue, they said the
system accidently removed my ips. But the
really bad part was that they already gave them
to a new user. Well I emailed back now saying
Ive been there 3 months and should have a right
to them since their welcome letter promises that.

But 2 days have gone by they have not given me
my ips and no email response anymore, they just
stopped contactin me back. There is no way to
reach support by phone.

Ive had lots of cancelations and been recieving
tons of very mad support questions from my users.

I still now only have half the ips im paying for and
still can't get a response from them at all.

Buyer Beware

At HostingCon last week I was sitting in on a disussion panel which had as it's topic "Hosting Price Wars." The moderator asked the panel members the question, "What started the hosting price war?" One of the panel members (I believe it was the guy from Ping Zine) said he believed it started with EV1 offering cheap $99/mo unmanaged dedicated servers a few years back. Of course, EV1 is no longer the most inexpensive in the marketplace but sure cut themselves a large slice of the pie by being an industry leader.

A word of advice for those searching for rock bottom prices - Buyer Beware! There is indeed a point in which a host cannot sustain business very long by being the lowest price on the planet. Either they must have deep pockets (as in the case with EV1) and lots of capital such as 1&1 to loose money up front to gain marketshare or else they will soon figure they are playing a loosing financial game. Way too many web hosts have lost their businesses over the years in the price war and I suspect many will follow.

Best Wishes for a .Net Success!
