Hi there,
I work for ISPsystem, a hosting software developing company. VMmanager, a virtual machines management software is one of our main products. It has been launched in ‘04 and has been in active development since. We want to extend its popularity outside our local markets and are now working on updating its features, GUI and UX. And since we still have some time before a finish line of a new release, we’re now looking for feedback.
KVM and OVZ are both supported, along with local and network storages, different OS templates, etc. VMmanager runs on CentOS 6, 7 and Debian 7. You can watch an online demo of VMmanager (https://www.ispsystem.com/software/vmmanager?utm_source=hostsearch-ft&utm_medium=forum&utm_campaign=isptc) and install a free version (https://www.ispsystem.com/software/vmmanager/download?utm_source=hostsearch-ft&utm_medium=forum&utm_campaign=isptc) to evaluate its features. There is also a detailed description on wiki here (http://en.5.ispdoc.com/index.php/Category:VMmanager:_Technical_articles).
For those of you, who’re interested in difference between SolusVM and VMmanager (as SolusVM Alternative) here are the most interesting features:
1. Supported formats for disk image files are lvm, qcow and raw. While SolusVM has only LVM, and that requires specific disk mapping.
2. Most operations (like installation of new nodes) are available directly from VMmanager, while SolusVM requires a more extensive use of the console.
3. A lot of hints and tips designed to help new users who are not yet familiar with VMmanager
4. A more affordable price could be important for some users.
Would be happy to answer any questions on here, and would really appreciate any feedback!
Constantine,
Team ISPsystem
