I can't get that - FTP Backups?
Hostingsource offers that and I have heard about that for the first time.
Have you ever used that?

FTP backup can backup your data to a remote computer or device using FTP (File Transfer Protocol) connection. This is a practical remote backup destination as it allows you to store important files offsite. It can be considered as an additional protection against data loss as the result of hardware failure or other disasters.
Hostingsource offers it as a part of their services and it's an advantage of them.

I have heard that hostingsource company has rock-solid servers with no downtime and glitches. They offer managed services separately and anyone may use them in case of necessity. It's rather comfortable.

Can an Iphone have a background program to ftp any new photos to an ordinary web site ftp folder? Since Iphone Safari does not do a form upload of an image [currently in Sept 2008], I want to send photos, as soon as they are taken, by ftp, to my site, where they could be handled by my server.

I guess you need to rsync backup rather then ftp .

This will save lot of bandwidth since only yhr changed files will be copied.
