Well, a domain is as important as key words and back links for a web site. if you have a domain which carry your main keyword its no doubt that its a plus point for your web SEO. A Domain Name Age with a website is important in regards to searches. Your domain name and and PR adds values to your web reputation.

Domain age is only one of the factors that Google considers when ranking a website. According to me a Domain with an active website which is as old as 6 months to 1 year should be enough to start getting some traffic from Google. Some people tend to buy older domains which are registered several years ago at fancy prices to get quick traffic. This makes no good as they do not have any active websites for several years. Therefore instead of relying on the domain age which is a factor way beyond our control, one can look at other ranking factors such as on-site optimization and link building that play prominent role in bringing traffic to a website.
-
First and foremost,it is obvious that domain age is important because it is a factor in determining Google rankings, and a part of our SEO.
However, it is important to understand that a domain that’s been registered for 4 or 5 years but has no actual site up is the same as a domain that you bought yesterday. In other words, it has to have actually had a site indexed by Google and buying older domains which are registered several years ago but has nothing that Google has ever found, doesn't worth it.

Yes I've also heard this thing. The old domains can get rank quickly if proper on-page and off-page seo is done.
-
Old domain is always useful provided it is used to perform good and reputed business.
-
yes, Old domain name is best for SEO because it verify from google that it cannot do anything wrong means don't carry any duplicate content or never do black hat SEO, etc.
-
yes google consider after time domain old age and seo improtance domain authority...
-
that is true, it is considered one of the top criteria for ranking on google, so you don't need to ngi doubt on it
-
Yes. Google prefers old domains if it's SEO has been already done but should have quality back-links. Therefore it's important in SEO.
-
The amount of backlinks is not the issue here, it will be the quality of the links. You could have 100 times the amount of backlinks but if they are coming from forum posts, blog comments etc then they are pretty much worthless. If your competitors have gained links from high authority sites then that can equal 1,000's of your links.
Domain age really only comes into play because it has time to gain more quality links,
It is also about relevance to the keyword, are your pages and links as relevant ? for example your wanting to rank for tutor but if one of your links is from say a car sales site then its not going to help much
-
I think that Google gives more credibility to the older domains then the newer one. We must do hard struggle to get a decent Rank on Google because of only a New Domain. It usually takes a year and a half before Google starts recognizing your domain appropriately and trusting it.
-
Google always give first priority to Domain Age since SEO depends on three important factors Domain Age, Content and Quality Backlinks.

Old areas are awesome to possess regardless of the possibility that they don't have back connections, old spaces with watchwords in them will rank quicker then another area name will. Awesome old spaces are currently beginning to end up noticeably accessible the area "Directoryscript.com" simply sold today for $200. Emachine.com and DomainWorks.com just as of late terminated as well.
