A well targeted Keyword Focus, Strong Page Element Optimization - Headings, Image's Alt text and Link's Anchor Text and Good Quality Page Content are three main factors of an SEO Campaign.

Finding the right keyword will reduce 80% efforts after that maintain On page SEO (Do some social book marking ) . If your key word competition is low you will be ranked on SERP after few days .But if your keyword is competitive then you have to focus on link building .

If you are doing campaign, focus on targeting keywords and proper audience. Pay attention on On-page seo activities. and the most important thing is content. Content is king so make sure you have unique content.

It starts with keyword research and finding the higher traffic, lower competition phrases. Next, is creating the best content out there for that targeted KW phrase. After creating the content for human beings, you tweak it for SEO (title tag, headings, images with related phrase ALT tags, meta descriptions designed to get clicks, keyword in the text at least once and related keyword phrases also in the content). Then it's backlinks, which will do very little good unless all of the above are done first.
