SEO simply stands for Search Engine Optimization. This is where you construct your web pages and implement certain techniques to help you rank as high as possible on search engine result pages (SERPs). The higher your pages can rank on Google/Bing/Yahoo/etc. results pages, the more traffic your site is likely to get.
On-Page SEO refers to all the things that you can do ON your website to help you rank higher, such as page titles, internal linking, meta tags & descriptions, etc.
Off-Page SEO refers to all the things that you can do directly OFF your website to help you rank higher, such as social networking, article submission, forum & blog marketing, etc.
When you starting SEO any website keep following this tips:-
1) On Page Optimizetion:- check meta tittle and meta description , website design , content Ect
2) Off page submission:- Search engine submission , SBM , Directory , SMO , Blog and Article submission ect.
Firstly you need to prepare list of keywords, which they want to rank for. Optimize the pages accordingly. Create content around those targeting keyword and reach out to your target audience through content marketing.Quote:

First you should do on page and then off page techniques...
Same SEO techniques which you used for your previous keywords. Include keywords in content of the webpage i.e. title, heading, alt, internal links etc and then create backlinks using the new keywords.
With these new keywords, you create informative, useful and attractive content, then you create high-quality backlinks to these pages have these new keywords.

Create a landing page for the new keywords if the don't want to have that keyword on the homepage. Once the keyword is implemented then Perform On-page and Off-page for that landing page.
First do on page by writing meta tags and web content. Include optimized little images with alt tag, make internal links, get its sitemap, submit it to search engines. Do its off page link building.
If you rally want to start SEO then you should do On-page optimization firstly and then do Off-page Optimization properly.
First complete the on page with quality content and than start the off page work with strong white hat SEO Technique.
