Bounce rate is the level of single page visits (or web sessions). It is the quantity of visits in which a man leaves your site from the point of arrival without perusing any further. Google examination figures and reports the bounce rate of a page and bounce rate of a website.

In Web analytics, including Google Analytics, bounce rate is the measurement in percentage of how many Web site visitors view only one page within your Web site – this is the one page they entered the site on (called the entrance page or landing page). These visitors view only that single page and exit the site on that same page. A high bounce rate typically indicates that the landing page isn't relevant to your visitor or you are not offering any incentive for the visitor to explore other areas and pages of your website.

If the visitor just visits the single page on site and did not access the other pages that time it is called bounce rate.

This might be case that visitor has bookmarked the link or means that contents on your website are engaging him and are quality contents.
He may have got the required information from home page only that is why he has not checked the other pages.

But as he did not accessed it more, it is consider as bounce. Bounce rate should always be low.

Here are some tips for you -

    1. Upload the quality contents on the website which are easy to read.
    2. There should be easy navigation on your website.
    3. Make your website responsive so it become easy to access on the mobile, tablet or computer.
    4. Page load time should be good.

There are plugins available which can decrease the bounce rate.

A bounce occurs when someone visits your website, views a single page, and leaves. In this scenario a website tracking tool like Google Analytics, would report one bounce or a 100 percent bounce rate (depending on which type of report you run/view).

    Hope it helps

Bounce rate is the fraction of people who landed on a page and immediately left. Bounces are always one page sessions.

Bounce rate calculates the percentage of your websites without going an inner page or subpage he leaves from your website.
bounce rate = total number of visitors who only view a single page/ total number of visitors who enter to that page x 100

Fake traffic is main reason of bounce rate.
