    Does Google cares about domain extentions

    Does any one know if Google Seacrch Algorithm prefers certain domain extension over others.
    I mean when ranking websites does google prefers .com domain names over new domain extension such as .xyz, club. and others.

    i) Domain extensions matters when there are country specific.
    ii) Domains with that specific country has the higher SEO rank.
    iii) If you have a good domain name, meaning relevant and properly spelled, your reputation and authority will definitely increase.
    iv) Geo specific domains will help to reach to the people in the specific reason.

    Actually, Google started favoring non .com extensions lately exactly because people tend to only remember .com websites.
    The issue is that people are so used to the .com extension that even if your website uses something else they will type in your brand name with .com.
    What this means is you should own the .com version of your domain just so you can redirect the traffic that accidentally used the .com version.
