indexing is the process of adding webpages into Google search. Depending upon which meta tag you used (index or NO-index), Google will crawl and index your pages. A no-index tag means that that page will not be added into the web search's index. By default, every WordPress post and page is indexed.

Website indexing means search engines look in to your website and list your website in their online search engine. Type your website url in that online search engine to check your website indexed or not. Search engines have extremely large indexes which hold a copy of all of the WebPages they have crawled and chosen to add to their index.

Indexing is the process of creating indexes for record collections. Having indexes allows researchers to more quickly find records for specific individuals; without them, researchers might have to look through hundreds or thousands of records to locate an individual record.

Indexes contain the information on all the websites that Google (or any other search engine) was able to find.

Google or another search engine will still index your website if you don't index your site manually. It's a process which search engines do for all the websites. The only difference is that, if have done some changes on your site or on a web page and want to crawl it immediately, then you have to re-submit it for indexing.
