They don't even acknowledge when there is an outage. Outages may last from a few minutes to a few weeks without a single word from 1PlanHost about anything. Morristown, Tennessee (September 1, 2005) – 1PlanHost.com WebWeavers Internet Services, a leading provider of Windows web hosting services announced today that it has waived all hosting fees for it’s customers affected by the Katrina hurricane in Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama for one full year and is donating 10% of all new account sales and existing renewals during the month of September.

In response to the tragic aftermath of the hurricane Darrell Williams, CEO states “It would be unrealistic to expect our customers in New Orleans and those coastal areas which were hit hard by Katrina to have to worry about their web site hosting accounts expiring while they are struggling with where they are going to obtain the basic necessities of living. Many of our customers who live in these areas will be without electricity and clean water for some time so life will be difficult to say the least. Some have totally lost their homes or have severe damage to the contents of their homes and/or businesses. Others have no business to go back to and/or have lost their jobs.

We will evaluate the response and need at the end of September to determine if this donation program should be extended. I suspect the need will be great for several months and the rebuilding will take years. We will also be involved in facilitating teams of people in our local area to physically go to these states and provide hands on assistance through Christian disaster relief ministries. Tennesseans are well known for volunteerism and have risen to the call for help many times since our most famous resident Davy Crockett lead a band of volunteers to the Alamo. While this is not the Alamo, the disaster calls yet again for volunteerism to help others out in need. Our hearts and prayers go out to all people affected that they will be able to rebuild as quickly as possible with the help of the American people.
