Go to your search console dashboard, expand Search Traffic menu from the left side, then click on Search Analytics option,Now tick on impression and position option. Make sure, by default the queries option is selected.

Do not check rank in Webmasters Tool, a better way is to check it manually because Google Webmaster shows you the 3 or 4 days old report.

I too prefer a prominent 3rd party tool like SEMRush. It has much better details, competitor comparison, forecast etc

I agree with Harvester check ranking manually, it time consuming but you get the right report.

LogIn to Webmaster Tool
Open the property for you want to see the ranking report
Click on the Search Traffic in the left panel
Click on Search Analytics under Search Traffic
Now you can see the ranking report and also customize it according to you
