Google has officially announced that they will rank https websites higher. Chrome and Firefox already warns users of non-https websites. Maybe, at a later time, they might block it as well. Mainly because adding SSL is free and easy these days with AutoSSL, Let'sEncrypt etc

As per Google update website having https in their domain will get top priority for indexing.
