Is a VPS more secure than a shared hosting?

While sharing server resources presents huge benefits from a cost point of view, it can wreak havoc on the security end of things. It really depends on how much the hosting provider has invested in ensuring dedicated protection for its shared hosting customers.

Virtual private servers are more reliable, secure, and flexible than the shared hosting. You get more resources and pay a slightly higher monthly fee for the VPS.
where in Shared hosting Website performance affected by other websites hosted on the shared server , May face security issues as well

Another feature of the VPS is the ability to create sandboxes and honeypots. These are methods of testing software updates and features while keeping the main site secure. Your company uses one of its VPS partitions for its main site and another one as a backup.

I know Aspnix.com is a reliable host with nice shared, vps and dedicated server hosting accounts.
According to my experience, this hosting provider has been rock solid from the beginning.

Some cases you will be having security issues on shared server, you will get root access and dedicated resources on VPS. you will be not facing any loading issues on VPS. If shared hosting client abused the network your account also will face the downtime on shared server until issue get resolved, Its all depends on your requirements and budget, If you want have dedicated resources and complete root access then go with VPS

VPS hosting is a good option when deployed correctly. In shared hosting, you need to share resources with others, it may affect security. But in VPS hosting you will get dedicated resources.

Yes, What you thought is absolutely right. VPS hosting is more secure than shared hosting. Because you host your website on shared hosting, it means that you are sharing a single server with dozens or hundred of websites. Your website is easily threatened if other sited is hacked. VPS hosting doesn't exist this kind of risk.

Taking the advantage of the opportunity can recommend 3v-host.com and their VPS hosting plans.
They have powerful servers located in Ukraine. Until the end of September, a promotional code for a 20% discount applies to all UPUs.
    Promotional code: 3VPromo18

Shared hosting uses shared resources, so if one of the client abuses the network then all the neighboring clients (hosted on same server) will be affected
However, VPS uses only dedicated resources. So, security risk is not that much affected in VPS. you can individually secure your VPS and maintain the security.

Not purely secured but better than Shared hosting any day. In shared hosting if some other sites having malicious files then your site will be effected, not directly but traffic wise and some other aspects too.

VPS is more secure than Shared hosting.
In shared hosting, if you want to apply firewall or any other security, you need to apply for whole shared hosting server. If there is an illegal attack within the server, you won't be able to seclude your website only.
Wherein in VPS, resources are dedicated to you. So, security of your VPS is in your hands. The chance of attacks or abuse are less in VPS than in shared hosting
