You need to choose a server provider who's datacenter is geographically close to your target audience. Also a host that is fairly close to you, since you'll be the one accessing the server the most.

Try to look through these web hosts and their dedicated server packages:
    1) Okayservers.com
    2) Hostunmetered.net
I believe there's a sense in making a comparison research for their plans.

Quality servers are available form QHoster.com and Hostsailor.com.
They are the best so far and I believe they are the best. Excellent customer support, reliable servers, fair prices, and all the features you will ever need.

The answer is quite simple. Choose the location closest to your target audience!

One thing to keep in mind also is the type of connection your are getting. If you are in the APAC region or European region and your looking at a server in the US you want to pay close attention to they type of connection they offer such as CN2 etc.

The first thing that you should consider is to locate your audience and to observe the different traffic patterns across the network and also identify the high demand regions. Choosing a provider based out of the location can make it a hassle to change hosting to a new location within the provider’s network. Routing traffic with a great infrastructure will help to create a positive experience. Since distance plays a great role in the performance of your website, choosing a dedicated server that is close to the location of your audience will benefit.

a dedicated server is a server different from Shared server. the dedicated server provides you more feature and control over the shared server.

Dedicated servers are hosted in data centers, often providing redundant power sources and HVAC systems. In contrast to colocation, the server hardware is owned by the provider and in some cases, they will provide support for operating systems or applications.
