simply You will have to provide canonical tag i.e < link rel="canonical" href="www.abc.com"> to resolve the canonical issues

Go to “All Programs>Administrative Tools>Internet Information Services”
Navigate to the domain and right click on it, then select “Properties”
Click on the “Home Directory” tab.
Select the radial button “A redirection to a URL”
Click “OK”

Using rel="canonical" tag you can address all your canonical issues.
There are situations when you cannot avoid canonical URLs. Using rel="canonical" you will be able to resolve all your issues.

.htacess file is used to solve canonical issue.
Individual web page can be loaded from multiple URL's. Multiple pages have same content but different URL's. At that time google confused which is the genuine URL, that's the reason resolve canonical issue.
