HTML sitemaps are created and available for viewing by website visitors to help them navigate through a website.
XML sitemaps are a little different from HTML sitemaps, because they are intended for search engines and spiders not website visitors.

HTML sitemaps are created and available for viewing by web visitors to help them browse through a web site.
XML sitemaps are somewhat different from HTML sitemaps, as they are meant for search engines and spiders maybe not web visitors.
