There have many possible way to check backlinks. But I check by yahoo search. Give it "link:domain url name" in yahoo search box and enjoy the result.

I use Link popularity which is becoming increasingly important, as many search engines are using this information as a ranking criterion. Yahoo Search is also very good for check the back-links. If you don't have access to the webmaster console then Yahoo is your tool.

backlinkwatch.com is the best option to see back links. It prepare detail report.

There are many tools available on the world wide web for this purpose. One of my favorite tool is Quirck Search Status. You can use this tool for any kind of analysis.
