Outbound link: A link that points away from your website..

Inbound link: Links pointing to a website. When a user arrives at a website from another site, that link is called an Inbound Link.

Inbound are those links pointing to your site while outbound are links from your site pointing to other site.

Only as many as you must and that make sense. Keep it below 100-150 or search engines might ignore the rest. Keep in mind that the "link juice" or the page's voting power of each individual link (internal or external) is divided by the number of links on the page.

Outbound-link (OBL) is link from website to another website. Outbound links can include value to site by giving helpful information to users without you having to make content.

Outbound links are those links that links to our website. Suppose your site is ABC.com and if you have given to any other website as good.com, so this is an outbound link.

Inbound links are links placed on other sites to direct traffic back to your own site there are numerous ways to obtain inbound links like forum and blog commenting, article submission etc. while outbound links can offer a boost on the search engine results page. And according to some SEO specialist

"Without the aid of inbound and outbound links, your website will not have favorable results on the search engine results page. It is a known fact that only 7% of all websites are even visible to the search engines. This means that 93% of the websites in existence are not optimized correctly, and are losing out on the SERP. Utilize those inbound and outbound links, and be a part of the 7%."

While building contents for your website, in some cases you may be talking about certain points which are about some products, business services or other sites and may add links to them from within your contents so that the people following your articles be able to have a clear idea about the notes mentioned and such types of links would be outbound ones.

Links from your website to another website or webpage. The visitor generally has to leave your website to follow an outbound link
