    Please explain the difference between static and dynamic ip and shared vs dedicated!

    and what are the benefits of one over the other?

    static = never changing ip (mostly used for server)
    dynamic = changing ip (used by internet provider to their customers or in intranet)
    shared = mostly a public ip used by many people (used by internet over 3g/edge)
    dedicated = static

    static IP have have benefits, It depend on hosting account which You are using.

    One of them is security, I feel more secure with static IP and so on...

    static website are those which remain same no one can change or dynamic site are those which which can change it later.
