Microblogging is a broadcast medium in the form of blogging. A microblog differs from a traditional blog in that its content is typically smaller in both actual and aggregate file size. Microblogs "allow users to exchange small elements of content such as short sentences, individual images, or video links. Thanks for asking this thread

You have examples such as twitter, identi.ca, amplify and many other Microblogging sites, these differ from the normal blogs, which consists of large content than 2-3 line content.

Micro-blogging is a way to share information with the world but in a more snippet type of data unit. While blogging is mostly long posts which require thinking about and editing, micro-blogging is writing short snippets of thoughts, recommendations and such.
As of now Twitter is one the most popular services for micro-blogging.

Microblogging is the way to share some information on social media sites. You can only include 140 characters while sharing some information. Few of the micro blogging sites are twitter, amplify, identi.ca, etc..

Micro blogging is a kind of medium for broadcasting and also blogging form. This highly differs from a traditional blog in many ways. The main difference is the type of content typically with sentences being short and individual with images or even video images.

Micros Blogging is traditional blogging, microbloggers post about topics ranging from the simple, such as "what I'm doing right now," to the thematic, such as "sports cars." Commercial microblogs also exist, to promote websites, services and/or products, and to promote collaboration within an organization.

    Below are the Microblogging Sites:
    Twitter
    Tumblr
    Plurk
    Pownce
    Jaiku
