I would talk about hyper-v advantages, i know some thing about it because i am using hyper-v vps from vpswebserver that Hyper-V is a sort of virtualization platform, that grant access to user. Hyper V has a ability to manage all of your physical and virtual resources from a single set of integrated management utilities.

VPS web hosting is considered the most in-demand among available web hosting plans. With VPS hosting, you will not have to worry about other people abusing the server or any other issues because VPS web hosting is designed similar to dedicated hosting, where you can reboot your services or even server any time you want. VPS web hosting also has guaranteed memory which only you, as owner of the VPS web hosting may use, without having to share with other VPS hosting clients.

Virtual Private Servers (VPS) is a technology that allows you to share the server costs with all other users, and still gives you the total command over your applications.

VMWare : With VMWare you can change your version/distro of Linux, tho your host may only support one particular distro/version.

OpenVZ :OpenVz is is a linux based virtualization platform based on the Linux Kernel. OpenVZ allows a physical server to run multiple isolated operating system instances known as containers.

According to me, HyperV technology is most popular virtualization technology. Hyper-V uses isolation of virtual machine in term of the partition. Hyper-V gives you the benefit of allowing dedicated RAM allotments for each child node which is best for improving overall performance of Virtual Machine.

Hyper-V will allow you to create multiple virtual machines which use Microsoft operating systems – this means that in theory you could have one virtual machine running Windows Server 2003 and another running Windows Vista

The basic advantage Hyper-V are the same as other virtualization environments. Server virtualization allows your client to run multiple servers on one physical computer, which translates into more efficient use of resources.

I would recommend staying away from OpenVZ - it's not "true" virtualization as it uses the hosts' kernel. HyperV is by Microsoft. VMware is more enterprise grade and is pretty superior to the others. Aside from that, Xen or KVM are probably the better options. You typically find that OpenVZ is abused, oversold & overloaded due to the overselling capabilities. It also doesn't allow for dedicated resources - everything is shared.

I believe you should have more reliable options to make a proper choice. Take a look at AJKservers solutions which are quality and reliable. Their servers are solid and network is stable.
