It’s not about the count of links...but more about their relevance...and the way they’ve been built (manual or automated)...If you’ve manually commented on all these blogs and the blogs are industry related, there shouldn’t be a problem...

blog commenting is a nice way to gain some good backlinks, it gives you more benefits than any other techniques. so i dont think that it is wrong.
