    install subversion

    Hi guys, I m going to install subversion on ssh however it came up with the error message at the end.
    here's the code:
    # yum install subversion

    You need to update your perl(URI) to at least 1.17 .

    actually, cPanel breaks perl in the latest release.

    don't assume a simple question has a simple answer

    but in this case it does.......

    Code:
    yum install up2date
    up2date install subversion

    up2date install subversion

    When I type

    I get the following message. Could someone please tell me how to solve this?

    Try using these commands, it does work fine :


    wget the perl-URI from the rpmfind repository :

    http://rpmfind.net/linux/fedora/rele...5-3.noarch.rpm

    And then :

    # rpm -i perl-URI-1.35-3.noarch.rpm
    # yum install subversion

    Subversion can be installed without issues with the above.
