I have a customer who wants a UDP port opened for an application on his site. Does anybody know of a script that can monitor and record the bandwidth used by a specific port?

You can use iptables to monitor bandwidth on a specific IP. So you could put this customer in a specific dedicated IP and then use iptables to montior his/her total bandiwidth.
Check hotscripts.
Perhaps you will be able to find something there

Monitoring your network traffic leads to improved effective and useful utilization of your enterprise network bandwidth and helps to improve organizational productivity and efficiency.
You may apply iptables and monitor bandwidth on a specific IP. So now you can connect the user to a definite and dedicated IP and after that use iptables to monitor his/her total bandwidth.
