In Responsive Website Design, design is made for both Website and mobile too. It only changes the CSS. Nothing is changing. One of my website is responsive which works on Mobile and desktop too.

Responsive web design is those crafted to use W3C CSS3 media queries with fluid grids and commonly also fluid images, to adapt the layout to the viewing environment. The idea of responsive web design is to make websites that fit multiple screen sizes. For the designer and developer that means they only have to work on one version of the website instead of designing one for desktop computers and another for mobile devices.

Responsive design is the preferred option when it comes to making your website both mobile and search engine friendly. With certain responsive website principals, one site can be created that dynamically changes to an optimal layout for a mobile device, or other platform.

A website that responds to the device that accesses it and delivers the appropriate output for it uses responsive design. Rather than designing multiple sites for different-sized devices, this approach designs one site but specifies how it should appear on varied devices.
