What makes a web hosting directory helpful?

In your opinion, what makes a web hosting directory helpful?

a) well organized and categorized hosting companies
b) ability to search for a hosting company using multiple criteria such as pricing, features provided etc.
c) ability to request free quotes from qualified hosting companies to save time and money..
d) a forum that has opinions of people who experienced a specific host.

What do you think?

1. It must not be overcharged with advertising
2. To be well organized
3. To list only reputable providers (If lists everyone it should provide user reviews)

All other requirements are not essential on my opinion.
