I would still say that in the music industry, MySpace is better. I'm not sure why, because musicians can easily take advantage of what Facebook has to offer. But I think one of the reasons is that MySpace has been traditionally linked to up and coming artists, as a place to find new talent.

As we can see here, facebook has clearly ran away with the traffic but it could be a confluence of factors. Either way, they get more uniques, and that is something to consider.

Facebook... it does feel a bit safer and I'd like a bit of uniformity in profile pages!

I think facebook is a lot far better than myspace.
It is better for promotional purposes than myspace.
And besides it is number 2 in Alexa global traffic rank as of now.

Does anyone still use MySpace anymore? Practically everyone is on Facebook. Anyway, MySpace is good for musicians and artists, Facebook is great for social networking.

I am a Facebook user. I don't even have a MySpace account! I like Facebook very much among all the other Social Networking sites that exist nowadays. Aside from the cool applications, I prefer it because it is very interactive and fun. I happened to check some of my friends' MySpace account and I think it is good for bloggings but for me, it's not as fun as Facebook.

I believe such answer explains a lot of things to us. And I think OP should consider both as there are people which prefer one and dislike another
