For example openvz and xen paravirt is limited on what it can run as you cannot change the kernel and a lot of the system you are sharing is off limits.

The best virtualization will be anything full virt like vmware, Xen HVM-ISO and KVM
    Wow, an old thread.

    I hope someone responds...

How can you tell if it's overloaded?

There's supposed to be less people on a VPN than on a reseller account, right?

    Thanks

You should choose hosting provider with normal prices and very responsive support. If they have live chat this will be very good!

So I did sign up with a VPS a month ago & it's been stressful ever since.

When they said managed, they didn't REALLY mean managed. I've been having to get involved with notices from CPanel several times a day that is interfering with my work & stressing me out.

My sites have also been down over 19 hours in just the one month.

While I've learned a bit now about VPSs, I'm not happy about this.

I'm giving it another month to see how it goes before deciding whether to stay with them. <sigh>

Oh & they say 24/7 tech support, but the only fast responses (and that's only if they don't have a huge issue they are dealing with) is during the day. At night time, I'm lucky if I ever get a response to my tickets or if they answer live chat or even answer the phone <sigh>.

Hello, for which hosting provider you are talking about? Would you please tell us, because I think this is important.

    Thank you.

I don't feel comfortable doing that since I'm still with them.
