File Transfer Protocol (FTP) is a client/server protocol used for transferring files to or exchanging files with a host computer. It may be authenticated with usernames and passwords. Anonymous FTP allows users to access files, programs and other data from the Internet without the need for a user ID or password.

FTP stands for File Transfer Protocol, it is a standard network protocol for transfering computer files between the client and server. The most widely used FTP clients are WinSCP and FileZilla. Personally, I prefer to use WinSCP, because it is really easy to use and user friendly, moreover, it offers more options for the file protocol including FTP and sFTP. I highly recommend you to use WinSCP to upload files.

FTP is a customer server convention that depends on two correspondences channels among customer and server: a direction channel for controlling the discussion and an information channel for transmitting document content. Customers start discussions with servers by asking for to download a document. Utilizing FTP, a customer can transfer, download, erase, rename, move and duplicate records on a server. A client commonly needs to sign on to the FTP server, albeit a few servers make a few or the majority of their substance accessible without login, otherwise called unknown FTP.

FTP stands for File Transfer Protocol. FTP essentially transfers these web page files to the computer server so others can access them. FTP can also be used to download files or programs from the Internet to your computer. When you download these files, you are transferring them from other servers through FTP.

FTP is a way to transfer files online. An FTP server offers access to a directory, with sub-directories. Users connect to these servers with an FTP client, a piece of software that lets you download files from the server, as well as upload files to it.
