Which is one of the better web hosting providers in India?

I'm looking at host for my personal website (low traffic) and I'm also in the process of building a consumer facing web application (hopefully high traffic in a few months). Ideally an Indian provider would be nice. The US ones are on the expensive side.

Well, if you are looking for best web hosting providers, then do consider the below mentioned things, and then decide who is good for you.

    1) Web space- Check who is giving you more web space.
    2) Bandwidth - Check who is giving you more bandwidth for traffic( ohh, come on don't say many are offering unlimited).
    3) Up-time - You want your website to be seen by readers 24 by 7, check this option for sure as well.

Now, if you will get the satisfactory answer by the web host for the above said points, then dude go for it.

    thanks

Well yes, Indian web hosting providers offer cheaper web hosting than those based in the US. But, it should not be the criteria to choose a web host. If your website or application’s target audience is based in India, then you must host your website on a server located in India because server location affects website performance.

So, if you are preferring Indian web hosts, then make sure that they also offer server in India since most of them have servers in the US. My recommendation is that you go with either ZNetLive or BigRock, they both are good and reliable web hosting providers with servers in India as well. If you have any budget constraints, then just go with ZNetLive because BigRock is costlier.

You can start with a basic shared web hosting plan and upgrade as your website traffic increases with time.
