    I think all depend on the website content/field..... WordPress have a big community and use simple SEO modules.. Joomla is the exact same.... But for an e-commerce site, they too are complex and give a headache when it come the up-dates and stuffs.....

    Just use Wordpress with pre-built themes, you can save a lot of times. I'm using Genesis Framework on my website, and it help me a lot in customizing appearance, making content, SEO Onpage etc.

    It is difficult to say what the best platform for SEO is. In my opinion, I choose WooCommerce shopping cart. It is quite simple and easy. It supports SEO friendly.
