    SEO: Search Engine Optimization: A technique used to optimize a website according to the search engine's guidelines.
    SMM: Social Media Marketing: A type of Digital Marketing which is used to promote a website/services/products on various social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn etc.
    SEM: Search Engine Marketing: A paid technique used to promote a website or services by paying to the search engine to promote it on the top of the SERP. For example: PPC

In digital marketing method SEO is a process of is the process of using different techniques to improve the ranking of a particular website and keyword in search engine. The process of SEO is a very important technique of the online marketing because one of the most important factors for the success of any website in the online world is to rank in search engine and Social Media Marketing is used to promote a website through all sorts of social media, for example, include a link to a content that can reach thousands of users within social network.     SEO(search engine optimization), SEM(search engine marketing) and social marketing have relation. when website is hosted more traffic is gained when SEO is done and SEO is considered a part of SEM and social marketing is one of the technique of SEO. If proper SEM and SEO is done there will be ROI(return on investment).
