"Canonical", "canonical tags" "rel = canonical" which many still find, understand common sense alike. This is an HTML tag is placed in the <HEAD> section of a Website - Part of content that users are not visible.

In SEO, canonical is actually 301 redirection means the the placement of new url to a new place but permanently.
