In last few years google has updated so many new algorithms to increase quality of results on SERP. Now content plays a vital role in ranking of website. Link building is not so much easy as it was few years ago. In short we can say that the way of doing seo for a website is completely changed. Now the only thing that matters is quality of work not quantity.

    Hi,

Building on some of the other responses, the addition of Google+ as a social media has also greatly affected search engine optimization for those who actually use it. Since Google (obviously) owns Google+, any content that is produced or shared through Google+ will automatically be judged as more authentic by Google's search engine. Google+ users can even set themselves up for Google Authorship, which allows any content that is produced through that Google account to be tied to their Google+ page, and as a result, perform better on the search rankings, especially if the user is following you or your business on Google+.
