Facebook EdgeRank is an algorithm developed by Facebook to determine what is shown and how it is ranked in Facebook users’ News Feeds. EdgeRank is also used to refer to the rank of a brand/page, and to the specific ranking of a particular “edge”.

EdgeRank is the Facebook algorithm that decides which stories appear in each user's newsfeed. The algorithm hides boring stories, so if your story doesn't score well, no one will see it.
