Making your website mobile-friendly is all about fast load times and ease of use. The mobile user's small screen means your content needs to scale.

    1. Responsive Design.
To be mobile-friendly, go mobile-first. Design with the mobile user as your primary user and build from there.

    2. Usability and User Experience.
The mobile user is stereotyped as "on the go." They often have an unreliable internet connection. Though that's not always the case, it's a good assumption to work off of.

    3. Shrunken Images.
In line with #2 is quicker loading images. There are a multitude of scripts and methods for optimizing images for the mobile web

    4. Go Big (Padding) or Go Home.
Adding to #1, and a personal pet peeve of mine, is not using enough padding on a clickable element, like a button.
