    What Is Bounce Rate?

Bounce rate is one of the most misunderstood metrics in Google Analytics. Bounce rate is the percentage of single page visits (or web sessions). It is the number of visits in which a person leaves your website from the landing page without browsing any further.

Bounce rate is the percentage of single-page visits. Bounce rate is a measure of visit quality and a high bounce rate generally indicates that site entrance pages aren’t relevant to your visitors.

The term Exit Rate - Bounce Rate is one of the SEO indicators KPIs are quite important for a website. Although not as highly regarded as its bounce rate - its brother, Exit Rate remains one of the key criteria for evaluating the user experience and quality of the website.

In SEO, Bounce rate is measured by Google Analytics. It means that visitor has visited your website but immediately navigates away from the website without staying or entering into any other page.

A bounce is a single-page session on your site. In Analytics, a bounce is calculated specifically as a session that triggers only a single request to the Analytics server, such as when a user opens a single page on your site and then exits without triggering any other requests to the Analytics server during that session. Bounce rate is single-page sessions divided by all sessions, or the percentage of all sessions on your site in which users viewed only a single page and triggered only a single request to the Analytics server.

You all know that Bounce Rate is a percentage of the visitor to a particular website, who navigate your website or leave away after only viewing that individual web page. High bounce rate will drop your ranking in search engine result pages and low bounce rate helps you increase your rank in search engine result pages.

Bounce rate (sometimes confused with exit rate) is an Internet marketing term used in web traffic analysis. It represents the percentage of visitors who enter the site and then leave ("bounce") rather than continuing on to view other pages within the same site.

    How to lower bounce rate:

    Improve Your Content's Readability.
Avoid Popups – Don't Disrupt the UX.
    Create a Compelling Call-to-Action.
    Improve Your Brand Storytelling.
Keep Your Blog Fresh With the Right Content.
    Target Keywords With High-Value Traffic.
