The + 1 button will help you with rankings just in the case someone will push it and in this way you will receive a natural backlink in other ways will not help you at all. What it is a must and it will help you in ranking faster is to have on your website the google plus widget in the sidebar with link to your google plus profile add rel author at the end of the link. By doing this you will get a lot of authority from google and your website will rank higher for the kw that website wants to rank

No, Google+ posting doesn't help in search engine ranking.
