A session is defined as a group of interactions one user takes within a given time frame on your website. Google Analytics defaults that time frame to 30 minutes. Meaning whatever a user does on your website (e.g. browses pages, downloads resources, purchases products) before they leave equals one session

    hi
a session is a group of hits recorded for a user in a given time period. A hit is a user's interaction (pageview, screenview, event, transaction etc) with your website that results in data being sent to the Google Analytics server.

The session is Group of users interaction with your website.xyz arrives your website. Analytics start counting from the moment. if 30 minutes pass without any kind of interaction from xyz the session end. Analytics resets the expiration time by adding on n additional 30 minutes from the time of that interaction.
