I guess social bookmarking actually brings the biggest share of spamming.

Spam is most often considered to be electronic junk mail or junk newsgroup postings. Some people define spam even more generally as any unsolicited email. However, if a long-lost brother finds your email address and sends you a message, this could hardly be called spam, even though it is unsolicited. Real spam is generally email advertising for some product sent to a mailing list or newsgroup.

spamming is the posting or commenting of that type which is not related to the content or thread or post. The spammers just copy paste one content to just put there keyword with anchor text on forums, blogs etc etc.

The term "spam", in the context of what you see in your search results, refers to any unethical practice used to improve a page's ranking in search engine result.

Spam is flooding the Internet with many copies of the same message, in an attempt to force the message on people who would not otherwise choose to receive it. Most spam is commercial advertising, often for dubious products, get-rich-quick schemes, or quasi-legal services.

Spam costs the sender very little to send -- most of the costs are paid for by the recipient or the carriers rather than by the sender

Google defines spam as trying to deceive our web crawler by means of hidden text, deceptive cloaking or doorway pages. You can report sites you suspect of spam at Google's Report A Spam Result page.
