if you are OK with sacrificing more time and privacy to change your IP address for SEO tasks and reporting, then using a Proxy is the way to go. Definitely use a private proxy, though!
If on the other hand you can budget a few dollars a month and want to save precious time, then a VPN is your best bet. The added bonus of solid privacy protection is a very nice cherry on top.

I never recommend you any software or tools which will create backlinks for your website because most of the links are built from low quality and spam websites. This also violates Google guidelines.

I'm in the same boat right now and need to find the solution. What did you end up doing?

I’d also add that mobile proxies are a strong option for SEO tasks. They offer real IPs from mobile carriers, which reduces blocks and bans. They’re more expensive but super effective for local SEO and automation. A VPN is great, but mobile proxies can boost reliability and access.
If you’re tech-savvy, you could even build your own mobile proxy (https://iproxy.online/mobile-proxies) setup. It takes more time but gives you full control and can be more cost-effective in the long run.
